The map data has been updated and contains the current openstreetmap.org data.
I hope to do map updates more frequently in the future.
The openstreet maps do not show all hiking routes and their local route numbers. Many commercial digital hiking maps do show these informations. Is it possible to use (import) commercial digital maps (e.g. hiking maps from Kompass) to GPSMaps?
unfortunately it is not possible to import third party map data, as they are in a proprietary format an I suspect it is not allowed to use them.
I think the best possibility is to add the missing routes to openstreetmap:
You could either add the missing routes yourself or create a note at openstreetbugs.com. Or, record the track using a GPS device and upload it at http://www.openstreetmap.org/traces, so that other mappers can see that there exists a track!
i really liked your app specially the offline mode ,but i’m tiered from downloading maps to use them in the offline mode , so can i download the maps from the PC and add them to GPSmaps ????
Sure, please use the render server!
